The Law of Attraction and A Rank Beginner

by Mark on August 6th, 2007

For nothing other than a pure, simple desire to learn and discover whether I might implement the Law of Attraction in some positive way in my life (if that even makes sense) I’m going to take a quick, completely uneducated look at this Law of Attraction. At the back of my mind is - can this benefit my blogging life?

I say at the back of my mind because through some very quick reads I think I see that the Law of Attraction has its basis in thought, hence - the back of my mind. I have not consulted with anyone regarding this.

From the Wikipedia;

“The Law of Attraction is commonly associated with New Age and New Thought theories. It states people experience the corresponding manifestations of their predominant thoughts, feelings, words, and actions and that people therefore have direct control over reality and their lives through thought alone. A person’s thoughts (conscious and unconscious), emotions, beliefs and actions are said to attract corresponding positive and negative experiences “through the resonance of their energetic vibration.” The “law of attraction” states “you get what you think about; your thoughts determine your experience.” The idea has received intense criticism from multiple circles in the media, the scientific community, and even other areas of the New Age Movement.”

Hmmm - my first thought [pun intended]? My first thought is “Am I screwing me?” That feels negative doesn’t it, but its my first thought. My second thought is “Isn’t it really obvious that Loren Feldman has a self-destructive mode?” Because, if we apply these first considerations to Loren Feldman, it becomes very, very obvious that he is disingenuous and on a mission to self-destruct. And he’ll have earned it. Something I would want to avoid. So, I’ll check my thinking and learn more about this topic.

In addition to the Wikipedia, another fine jumping off point, for me, might be Steve Pavlina. Steve nicely explains how The Law of Attraction and Subjective Reality seem to go hand in hand. The explanation that Steve wrote last year about Subjective Reality made perfect sense to me as I read it for the first time;

“Subjective reality is a belief system in which (1) there is only one consciousness, (2) you are that singular consciousness, and (3) everything and everyone in your reality is a projection of your thoughts.”

The beginning.

    Hi Mark,

You can absolutely implement the Law of Attraction to benefit your personal life and your professional blogging life as well. It can help you achieve exactly what you want in business—I’ve seen it happen many times.

Benefitting from the Law of Attraction begins with getting totally clear on what you want to attract, and allowing that vibration to grow and resonate.

I encourage people to do this through meditation. When you quiet your mind through meditation, you gain access to your subconscious brain, and with practice you begin to recognize negative thoughts and emotions as they arise. Amazing things will happen as you begin to replace these negative impulses automatic positive thoughts.

But as I tell people all the time, information by itself is practically useless. If you sit around fantasizing about how great it would be to win the lottery or whatever, and you don’t take constructive action, they’ll come and take your furniture!

Once you begin to attract the opportunities, things and people you want, then it’s up to you to take the right actions, in the right order to achieve success — and that’s true whether you’re goals are in your personal or business life!

Always remember that negative energy is created by your reaction to something. No matter how justified you may be in getting angry or upset about something, your justification means nothing to the Universe. You will create damaging negativity that directly affects you in a negative manner - no matter how justified you were for getting upset in the first place.

where do you get off talking about Loren? How long have you watched him at work? Do you have any idea what he has done, or is doing?

Law of attraction talk is fine, everyone is talking this, but whatever. Using Loren, however?

Using LOA for improving your blog life is absolutely do-able, Mark. Let the Universe make some magic happen for you! You do that by getting clear about what you want, and flowing some nice energy towards that vision.

Don’t put too much stock in the action. Getting your vibration (or energy) lined up first is what makes the difference. Most of us have really overdone it on the “action” … without giving any thought whatsoever to what “energy” we’re creating as we take that action.

The primary role action plays is that when we take it, it often increases our expectancy or “believability” that good results will follow. But don’t be mistaken, it’s your expectation (or vibe, energy, whatever you want to call it) that makes it happen.

We came here as visionaries, not actionaries. :)

Do miracles happen without lifting a finger?

    Absolutely. Every day!

Does it work better when we take action?

If taking action improves your vibration, it sure does. But it’s all about your vibe, my friend.

Have fun with it! Once you start playing with deliberate creation, your whole life changes permanently. :)

    Sparksie - thank you :)

Jeannette - thank you and I will be following up. This is instantly very interesting to me. I am definitely a believer in miracles!

Jeck - likewise at you - who the hell are you to ask me questions like that? Why I do anything or who/why/what I talk about is none of your business…

You most likely believe that your experiences have taught you what is real and what is true - at least for you. However, what you may not know is that your beliefs - conscious and unconscious - have determined what you would experience. Experiences do not determine what you believe. What you first of all believe is what you will experience. It follows, then, that if you wish to experience life in new ways, you need to examine your belief systems.

The Universe is pure energy. It is always in motion - it is a moving, pulsating, vibrating, magnet like force, that is in constant motion at the core. It is pure energy.

The Universe has been called many things - God, Inner Being, Your Source, Higher Being, Infinite Mind. Or if we are really brave, we may associate it with Quantum Phsyics - the area of all possibility.

The Universe, and its power, is the source of all that there is. It contains everything we desire and is waiting for us to activate it, where it will create, attract, offer us inspired action, and even mold itself into whatever we want. We simply must align ourselves to our
desires using the Laws Of Attraction.

    Mark.

Charles Haanel is considered to be the father of the Law of Attraction and he outlined it in a 24 week mail order course which he started in 1917. That course is now in book form and is called “The Master Key System”.

Charles Haanel’s star pupil was Napoleon Hill who wrote a total of eight books including “Think and grow rich”. “Think and Grow Rich” is the number two best selling book of all time, second only to the bible. If you are interested in learning more about the Law of Attraction, it may be a good idea to add these books to your library.

John is write. As another student of Haanel’s, W. Clement Stone, told us, “Knowledge is not power, knowledge in action is power”. Mr. Haanel taught that if we take our ideas and mix them with desire and faith and then acted on those ideas, all would be given to us.

I am currently reviewing “Think and Grow Rich” chapter by chapter on my blog. I hope you can visit and give your own thoughts.

Also, check out Wallace Wattles’ THE SCIENCE OF BEING RICH (or “growing rich” or “becoming rich,” I’m not sure off hand). I like this better than THINK AND GROW RICH although I haven’t really given that text the same amount of attention, so maybe ignore that. But SCIENCE is REALLY great. It’s VERY specific, and written out like a philosophical theorum. Yes, it’s dry, but once you get into it, it’s very inspiring. You can easily get it free on many websites.

What I like about it is that it’s not so general as, say, THE SECRET, which I love, but I don’t think the author really knows much about LOA herself. SCIENCE is without the marketing jargon hoo-ha of a bunch of these texts, which to me is attractive, but for others, maybe not so much.

    HOW LAW OF ATTRACTION WORKS?

When you visualize and imagine you ’step into the picture’ and begin to experience the future of your dream come true in the present. Einstein said imagination was more powerful than knowledge and indeed it is. He also said:

“Your imagination is the preview of life’s coming attractions”.

You can use your imagination to visualize not just the physical attributes of your dream come true, but to imagine the emotions you would be experiencing at the time.
