A writer on the run

by admin on May 28th, 2006

Quite often I’ll write content on the train or “on the run” thanks to my Tecra M2 notebook. There’s something about writing content on a train, iPod in my ears, watching the world go by that gets me inspired to write. I guess one of the biggest problems bloggers face is what to write about. We are all told that successful blogs need to have fresh, new content on almost a daily basis, so how do you find things to blog about?

There was an interesting comment on wisdump the other day where a user commented about blogs that talk about blogging and the world of web 2.0, and how EVERYONE seems to just rewrite other users content.

Surprisingly, I agree 100%. There’s a catch though, this comment affects me and my WorkBoxers. Regurgitating information is not particularly something I want to do, so how can I improve the content and make it unique to others?

My solution? More personalized articles with my own experiences thrown in for good measure. Personalized experiences are unique to me, and by sharing them with others I hope to see others benefit from them. This applies to every niche, use personal experience and real events to put your blog into overdrive - your readers will love it!

Here here! Good idea - the more original ideas the better. Although perhaps the concept of an “original idea” is actually an oxymoron? Can you really have a truly original idea?

Regardless, any content with you fresh opinion is a valuable addition to the blogging conversation.

Actually Jonesy, my PCMCIA slots no longer respond. Both my iBurst and wireless cards don’t work :(

Isn’t your notebook still under warranty?
    Take it back!
