The Big Money Tips Project
I have been reading lately about how much people are making with AdSense and the varying “make $x/day in y months” projects going on and it got me wondering what would happen if I really applied myself on one of my sites. Wait, what the hell do you mean “apply” yourself? I will come straight out and say that I party a lot and do other activities a lot. If I worked as much as Darren (damn, how many times can I link to him in one week?) or some of the others then I would have much more money, but I also think I wouldn’t be as happy with my life.
As it stands now I don’t worry about money because I have enough coming in, but there is always this nagging feeling that makes me wonder what would happen if I started to put my all into this. Part of that is why the 9rules Network came into place and why I have decided to test out everything I preach on Big Money Tips.
The Project
I am going to do the stupid thing and use the site to write about the high-paying keywords that I tell you to stay away from due to how competitive they are. I don’t expect top 10 rankings in the search engines, but this is a good way to get creative and drive traffic by other means besides search engines and the links on my own sites (which of course will be used).
To check on the progress of the site let’s set some milestones:
- $1/day
- $10/day
- $50/day
- $100/day
- $200/day
- $500/day
Currently the site does maybe about a couple of pennies here and there because it hasn’t been updated and all the content there can be found here (add to the fact that all links are redirected to this site unless you got the homepage, about page, or contact page). Even though there are some backlinks there isn’t very much so I can’t say I am necessarily starting from scratch, but who the hell cares? Time for everyone to learn and to really apply myself.
How to Achieve Milestones
First, I am going in with the mindset that I am creating a resource that uses blogging software. I am not just making a blog. I am still not convinced at all about the long term viability that some blogs use to approach content, but that’s another entry for another day.
Obviously a main source of income will be AdSense as most people like to default to. But honestly, reaching those milestones fast will take more than AdSense because it is a great program for the long term, but for the short term it doesn’t quite get you to where you want to be (well it might in this case since I am going for the high paying keywords). This is where affiliate links come into play.
Anyways, let me get started on this now and every once in a while I will fill you in on my progress. Hopefully I can stay focused enough to make this worthwhile for everyone. I also took the RSS feed away for now on Big Money Tips, but will add it again once I have enough content on there to justify it.
If you go to the site you will see that I have used the same template that I use here to simplify things and that some of the pages may be missing. It’s will always be a work in progress.

Congratulations on deciding to see what all you can make of Big Money Tips. I can’t wait to see how it all works out - especially considering the new things we’ve learned about Google since they filed their patent.
Good luck!

Well if you have a domain that is indexed in Google no use letting it go to waste. It’s a perfect domain to test out everything the ‘gurus’ tell you to do and to also see how well high-paying keywords work out.
Now I just need to get the traffic there…

Yeah you would like that. You seem to be getting enough links as it is. Why don’t you spread the love?

Hey Scrivs, do you write all the articles yourself, or have guest writers?

It’s a combination of both plus finding content on the web. Right now I am trying to fill it up with articles then I will move on to the more traditional short blog entries.
