GnuCash Now Available on Windows

by kris on May 4th, 2007

Update: After searching it appears that the GnuCash windows is still a little ways off so I am am going to resume my search. If you have any suggestions for open source accounting software be sure to leave a comment and I’ll try it out and give a link back to whoever makes the suggestion!

When I was looking for an accounting software a month ago it had to be open source and my options were limited. I ended up settling on ClearCheckbook.com since it was only for my personal finances but now that I am a business owner of a set of websites that are generating a good income it is time to find a full accounting program to suit our needs and track out money.

I first learned of GnuCash during my first venture of trying to find a program to do my accounting only to find it was only compatible with Linux. Well as of now GnuCash is available on Windows meaning I can officially try the software. I am hoping to try it out this weekend and have a complete review of it up sometime next week.

In the meantime keep reading for 10 reasons to use GnuCash…
