Redesign Time
Now that I have finished some client work for Business Logs I am afforded some time to work on the designs of my current sites along with launch some new ones. This site is in need of some redesign love so if you witness anything weird happening it’s probably just me doing a live redesign.
I have already done some tweaks to Web Drug Database, which should improve the internal PR of the pages along with fixing up the store pages some. Work still needs to be done, but even those minor changes have improved the look and feel of the site in my opinion (albeit as plain as it is).
Now let’s see how bad I can mess this site up. For the record if I stay up for four more hours then it means I have been working for almost 24 hours straight with some breaks in between of course. Back in my zone again…and no that’s not healthy.

Oh goodie, only slept 5 hours because I couldn’t stop thinking about the site. Oh well, I am pretty much done I think so feel free to bash and mash me.

Its the typical Scrivs design, clean, simple. So there are no negatives with that.
However, I would love to a more graphics side of scrivs. Is there a graphical side to scrivs?

Dito. Nothing really to critique here, other than how straight those lines are. Damn are they straight! :)
The WorkBoxers image up top is appealing though.

Hmm grapical Scrivs? I am sure he is somewhere dying to get out, but productive-make-money Scrivs always beats him down and focuses on what’s important.
Also going through 10-20 sites and trying to optimize them as much as possible over the next month kind of hurts the argument for focusing more on the graphical aspect.

Do you think pagerank has much practical importance anymore?

Sounds like a good entry. I will have that up today. Short answer though is yes.

Meh, your’s is prettier than mine. I just needed something simple with a better IA structure that could be done quickly. So this is what I came up with.

I, personally, don’t quite like the header. Too bold and contrasting, and kinda lives a bitter after-taste.

Wow, it’s that bothersome? I figured after everyone scrolled down a centimeter they would forget about it.

I think it is simple and consistent with all your other sites. Obviously people do not come to your site to see the wonderful design with loads of graphic (no offense) they come for the content. So something simple works for your sites, because that is what people are used to.
